Another great post from Graham McInnes at Oracle. We agree with all the main points that he makes, and it's great to see Oracle focusing on the small and medium-sized business (SMB) market. Many of our customers are SMBs and they are an absolute joy to work with as it's usually easier to make contact with decision makers than in larger organisations. It's amazing how quick and easy it can be to get an Oracle CPQ platform off the ground when it's coupled with the energy of a fast moving company.
A great new post from the Oracle SMB Blog entitled '4 Lessons from CPQ Failures' which is really worth checking out. We couldn't agree more with what Graham McInnes says, and are reminded of the old military adage of the 7 Ps...
We love Graham McInnes' post on the Oracle SMB Blog, whichever side of his brain it came from! This blend of two different schools of thought is one of the many reasons we love CPQ here at Walpole Partnership. The way it brings together different functions and mindsets is what makes an implementation interesting and sometimes challenging, but one thing it never is, is boring!
Check out this great article from Brian Friedman posted on the Oracle SMB Business Blog recently. The applicability of professional CPQ solutions like Oracle CPQ Cloud to the SMB market is vastly underrated. With integrations unlocking the power of joined up systems, it can be a great investment, and often younger or smaller organisations don’t have so much ‘cruft’ to unpick or remove when they're streamlining their processes. In fact it can be a lot easier and more cost effective to implement Oracle CPQ in SMBs than in larger or more established organisations.
