Representatives from Walpole Partnership have been privileged to attend not only one, but two of the Oracle Modern Customer Experience (MCX) days this week – the first in Frankfurt and the second in London. We couldn’t get to the Stockholm MCX, as today we’ve been busy with the Oracle CPQ Partner Advisory Board in London, but a couple of the team are in Sweden on business next week, so we’ll hopefully get to check in with our Oracle friends over there soon.
If you’re reading this, you almost certainly have a LinkedIn profile and probably use LinkedIn not only to connect with professional contacts, but you might also use this social networking tool to keep well-informed about industry news etc. I use LinkedIn a great deal and find it invaluable having the majority of my contacts in one place. So when I was using LinkedIn the other day I had a thought, if someone came to me and asked me who to follow on this social network, who would I suggest? Here goes…
The last time we ever doubted Oracle's commitment to Configure, Price, Quote (CPQ) technology was back in early 2014, straight after the BigMachines acquisition. Once it was clear that the platform was becoming an integral part of Oracle's CX strategy, and we saw the tremendous amount of resources that were being deployed to ensure the long term success of the product, we knew we could stick with Oracle and the new CPQ Cloud product.
Seeing the way Oracle 'eat their own dog-food' and use CPQ Cloud on a global scale internally reinforces that in the best possible way, as of course does the response we get from our customers when we implement solutions on the Oracle CPQ platform.
Walpole Partnership is excited to share that one of the projects we are working on at the moment is based in the Netherlands. We’re continuing to help an enterprise company in the industrial sector to leverage the many benefits of implementing Oracle Configure, Price, Quote (CPQ) Cloud. We’ll share more about the project when we can, but we’re enjoying the continued collaboration with the Client Project Team to deliver a great CPQ solution which is supporting the company's Digital Transformation.

Check out this recent Oracle blog post entitled, 'CPQ is the Underrated CX Middle Child and Here’s Why You Should Love It!'
The impact of CPQ on surrounding departments and systems can’t be underestimated, both in terms of the power it can unleash, but also the stakeholders it may need to manage.
You need a very flexible and strong ‘middle child’ to make the most of that opportunity, and Oracle CPQ Cloud is one of the few that can do this.
We’ve got a free consultation on offer here to anyone who wants some help understanding how a CPQ system can help make their family complete or you can download our ebook here.
Oracle really do know how to put on an event, and the recent CX Partner Showcase Day in Dublin was no exception. It was, as the title suggests, a great showcase for the partners who deal in the CX suite of Oracle products and we’re so glad that Walpole Partnership’s MD, Andy Pieroux, was able to be there. As well as getting all the latest news on the CX products, the event enables its partners to meet with the Oracle Direct sales teams and managers, and it was good to see Crevan O'Malley, Feargal McDonnell, Seamus Flanagan and Eithne Leavy, and all their teams yesterday. A special thank you to Ciaran Shanley for sparing so many people from his teams for the day too. The event also provides the opportunity to build relationships with other partners who provide CX solutions. Neal Kent, Geraint Padfield, Aisling Larkin, Alex Love, Andy Stevens, Sagi Koborsi, Oscar Catling and Adam Wilkinson, we hope you all found the showcase as worthwhile as we did. Finally, huge thanks to the organisers Victor Perez- Estrada, Dimitrios Koumpoulis, Scott Falconer, Kate Lynskey and Ruth Arnold who put together such a great day.
Configure, Price, Quote (CPQ), Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP), and Customer Relationship Management (CRM) work together to provide an end-to-end solution for sales teams and their customers. CRM works with CPQ and ERP, capturing data on demand, and producing error-free quotes and proposals.
Combining all three can optimise sales processes, giving you a competitive advantage in your sector.
Last Thursday night, members of the Walpole Partnership team attended the prestigious UK Oracle User Group Partner of the Year Awards. This year the awards dinner and ceremony took place at the historic Honourable Artillery Company in the heart of the City of London.
We’re very pleased to announce that our CPQ Solution Architect, Pradeep Agrawal, has recently relocated to the UK.
